Rehoboth is an Art Town
Photographer Scott Pasfield traveled 54,000 miles across all fifty states over a two-year span, gathering stories and documenting the lives of 140 gay men from all walks of life. Gay in America is the first-ever photographic survey of gay men in America, putting stereotypes to rest and revealing an intimate, honest picture of contemporary gay life. Scott will be at Browseabout Books on Tuesday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m. to give a presentation that chronicles his travels, and to sign copies of his book.
Multiples Exhibition 2011 Opening Reception November 12th, 2011, 6-9pm The Annual Multiples Exhibition opens at Heidi Lowe Gallery on Saturday, November 12. The Multiples Exhibition has become a staple at Heidi Lowe Gallery, featuring small production and limited edition work by artist from around the country. The show exhibits jewelry made from a wide variety of materials including but not limited to paper, plastic, feathers, silver, gold, stones, and cement. The show will be on view through January. Please join us to meet the artists and check out her new collection. The opening reception happens in conjunction with the “Mosaic Second Saturday Art Walk” from 6-9pm.
On SATURDAY NOVEMBER 12th from 2:00 - 5:00pm, visit the 10 fine art galleries of Mosaic: The Rehoboth Beach Gallery Collective. Each gallery of the collective will offer a reception and a new exhibition. Member galleries represent some of the finest galleries in the mid-Atlantic region. Second Saturday Art Walks are from 2:00 - 5:00 pm from January through April, and from 6:00 - 9:00 pm from May through November. Maps are available at any participating gallery.
On Saturday, November 5th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Rehoboth Art League will host the Holiday Fair with 30 artists displaying and selling their creations. For holiday gift shopping, patrons can select from jewelry, pottery, glass works, decorative and wearable fiber, wood, and mixed media, as well as paintings. Sussex Gardeners will have floral creations and the Village Improvement Assn., their delicious chicken salad and other treats and drinks for sale. The Holiday Fair will take place at the Art League's campus--12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres. The $5.00 admission includes a "silent" auction ticket.

Live Performances
Clear Space Theatre Company’s Arts Institute students showcase their semester of study in the performing arts in these cumulative final performances. Broadway Bound students in grades 1-8 will offer selections from “Mary Poppins” and “The Fantasticks” on November 29 at 5:30pm, while Broadway Legends students ages 50 and up will offer selections from “The Pajama Game” and A.R. Gurney’s “The Dining Room” on November 30 at 10:00am. Both performances are free and open to the public.
